Gagan Vasudeva Therapist
Gagan Vasudeva MSW RSW holds a Master of Social Work and is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She is certified in both Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR Therapy). She is also a certified mindfulness meditation teacher, and she is presently pursuing her certification as a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher.
Gagan specializes in working with adults navigating stress and trauma, which often manifest in everyday challenges such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, anger, guilt, or self-blame. With a compassionate and trauma-informed approach, she helps the participants harness the natural intelligence of their nervous system, body, and mind to heal from difficult experiences. Through this process, they can develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional balance in their daily lives. Trauma can deeply influence how a person thinks, feels, and responds to the world, often leading to heightened anxiety, emotional numbness, difficulty trusting others, or a sense of disconnection.
Everyday situations—such as social interactions, decision-making, or even certain sounds or sensations—can activate fight, flight, freeze, or fawn responses, creating patterns of avoidance, self-criticism, or hypervigilance. Sleep disturbances, chronic stress, and challenges with focus or self-care are also common. Over time, unresolved trauma can make it difficult to feel safe, grounded, and in control of one’s own experiences. Gagan provides a safe, compassionate space where the participants can explore both past and present struggles, build effective coping skills, and release themselves from the grip of their past to reclaim their lives.
