Spine Conditions

Understanding you spine

The spine is made up of four main regions: the cervical spine (neck), thoracic spine (mid-back), lumbar spine (low back), and the sacroiliac (SI) joints, which connect the spine to the pelvis.

Each region contains multiple joints, ligaments, muscles, and other soft tissues—all of which can contribute to pain or dysfunction.

At EPIC Health and Movement, we take the time to perform a thorough history and detailed physical examination to accurately identify the source of your symptoms. From there, we develop a personalized treatment plan designed to help you recover efficiently and get back to doing what you love.

Common Spine Conditions We Treat

At EPIC Health and Movement, we care for a wide range of spine-related conditions—from recent injuries to long-standing, complex cases. Some of the most common conditions we help with include:

  • Neck pain and stiffness
  • Mid-back (thoracic) pain
  • Low back pain
  • Sciatica and nerve-related leg pain
  • Disc injuries (bulges and herniations)
  • Facet joint dysfunction
  • Sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction
  • Muscle strains and ligament sprains
  • Postural and work-related pain
  • Headaches originating from the neck (cervicogenic headaches)

Whether your pain started suddenly or has been building over time, our team is focused on identifying the true source of the problem—not just treating symptoms.

Using an evidence-based, patient-centered, and collaborative approach, we combine hands-on care, targeted rehabilitation, and education to help you move better, feel better, and stay better.

Upper Limb Conditions

Understanding the upperbody.

The upper body includes the scapula (shoulder blade), the glenohumeral joint (shoulder), the elbow, wrist, and hand. Together, these structures create a highly mobile and functional system that allows for strength, precision, and coordination in everyday movement.

The upper limb is designed in a pyramidal structure. At the top sits the humerus (upper arm), which connects to the ulna and radius (forearm bones). These lead into the wrist, made up of eight carpal bones arranged in two rows, followed by five metacarpals in the hand, and finally the phalanges (finger bones).

This intricate system is supported by an abundance of soft tissues, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, bursae, and fascial structures. Because of its complexity and frequent use, the upper body is susceptible to injuries, repetitive strain, and movement-related dysfunction.

At EPIC Health and Movement, we focus on identifying the true source of your pain through a detailed history and physical examination. From there, we create a personalized plan to help you recover, move better, and get back to doing what you love.
